Shaheen Afridi Returns with a Bang in PSL, Dismisses Babar Azam and Takes Five Wickets

In the PSL, Shaheen Afridi put on a dominant display against Peshawar Zalmi, taking five wickets to help Lahore Qalandars win by 39 runs.

Shaheen Afridi, the explosive Pakistani fast bowler and captain of the Lahore Qalandars, unleashed a fierce opening spell against Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League. With his very first ball, he shattered Mohammad Haris’ bat, and on the very next delivery, he demolished the stumps, providing his team with a dazzling start. Adding to his heroics, Shaheen also claimed the prized wicket of Babar Azam, the captain of Zalmi and the Pakistani national team, a few overs later.

Shaheen Afridi made a strong comeback to the cricket field in the Pakistan Super League after missing more than two months due to an aggravated knee injury sustained during the T20 World Cup final in November last year. Shaheen’s form held up despite the setback, and he made a stunning comeback in the PSL, claiming an impressive 10 wickets in just four matches.

Overall, it was a dominating performance by the Lahore Qalandars, with Shaheen Afridi standing out as the star performer of the match.

The batters deserve the majority of the credit because they felt comfortable taking the field and batting first on this green track. We have a strong and diverse bowling attack. Since Billings has been here, the middle tier has gotten stronger. In this competition, everyone is performing well, so we can’t take anyone for granted.
